Hey everyone, my name is Aisha and I’m MEO’s specialist Key Stage 3 and iGCSE
Science teacher. With a strong foundation in Biological Science, I embarked on my
teaching career in 2017 after earning my degree from the University of Westminster
in London. My journey began as a science mentor in Southeast London, where I
had the privilege of guiding Year 11 students through their GCSE exam
preparations. This role ignited my passion for education and motivated me to
pursue a PGCE, which I completed in 2019, becoming a fully qualified teacher.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of schools across
London, including comprehensive, Church of England, and independent institutions.
My teaching experience spans students aged 11-16, all within the British
curriculum. This diverse background has equipped me with the skills and insights to
connect with students from various educational settings.
As an educator, I am deeply passionate about science and dedicated to fostering a
love for learning in my students. I believe in empowering students through high-
quality independent learning, with a focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and
analysis—key skills that are essential in science and beyond. My aim is to make
science relatable and engaging, helping students see its relevance to their
everyday lives, their communities, and the wider world.
In today’s increasingly digital world, I am excited about the future of online
education and its potential to revolutionise learning. I chose to join My Education
Online because of its commitment to small class sizes, a globally diverse student
body, and a team of professional educators with a wealth of experience. The
platform's cutting-edge teaching tools, such as digital notebooks that provide instant
feedback, and its secure, supportive online community make it an ideal
