My journey as a teacher began with my passion to support my local primary school.  This developed into a mentoring role, specialising in English for speakers of other languages. After completing my degree in BSc Sociology & Public Policy Management I gained my PGCE (Teaching Certificate) and qualified as a teacher. 

Since then, I have taught the National Primary Curriculum to 8-11 year olds, and specialised in teaching disadvantaged boys as well as gifted students. My teaching methods reach out to all types of learners, and along with consistent and targeted support and guidance, each student will achieve their potential. Teaching is as much about knowing your students’ strengths and weaknesses as it is about delivering content and teaching skills. I love the fact that we are able to spend more time with our students; adapting our teaching styles to their individual needs is something that cannot be achieved effectively in a mainstream setting. 

I have knowledge, skills and experience across the entire curriculum, and I am excited to be teaching in an online setting and exploring the huge advantages that this type of teaching offers.
