I am Abu-Sufyaan Patel, the Founder and Director of Education at My Education Online, a pioneering platform designed to transform education through innovative, personalised online learning. With over 20 years of experience in teaching, I also take on the role of Mathematics teacher for secondary school students, bringing a practical and engaging approach to a subject I am deeply passionate about.

In 2003, I earned an honours degree from De Montfort University (Leicester, UK), followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Brunel University (London, UK), becoming a fully qualified Mathematics teacher. Throughout my career, I’ve taught in both the UK and Dubai, working with diverse curricula, including the British and International Baccalaureate programs. Over time, however, I became increasingly dissatisfied with the modern education system—particularly the overcrowded classrooms with upwards of 25 students per teacher, a practice that prioritises economic gain over genuine learning.

This realisation led me to establish the Witty Learning Institute in Dubai, which I managed from 2016 to 2020. The Institute was primarily created to serve homeschoolers but also provided outstanding educational support to a wide range of learners, including school-going students and adults. Witty Learning Institute earned a reputation for its unique and individualised approach to education, offering learners tailored support that helped them thrive.

In March 2020, due to the sudden onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Institute’s physical location had to close indefinitely. Despite this challenge, it became clear that the transition to online classes was not only feasible but also highly successful. This success sparked the idea of launching a fully online school. By the summer of 2020, My Education Online was born—a UK curriculum online school catering to students from Year 2 to Year 13. Built on a foundation of strong moral values, the school fosters a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where every child feels cared for and encouraged to succeed.

As the Director of Education, I lead a dedicated team of educators and technologists, developing cutting-edge courses that meet the diverse needs of today’s students. Under my leadership, My Education Online has grown into a trusted platform for learners seeking flexible, comprehensive educational solutions tailored to their unique needs.

My mission is to reshape the future of education by creating an environment that not only equips students with knowledge but also nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning.
