I am the Founder and Director of Education at My Education Online and also the Mathematics teacher for the secondary school.

In 2003, I graduated with an honours degree from De Montfort University (Leicester, UK) and then went on to complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Brunel University (London, UK) and became a fully qualified Mathematics teacher.

After teaching in schools both in the UK and Dubai for almost 15 years and delivering a variety of curricula, including both British and International Baccalaureate, I lost faith in the effectiveness of the modern day school education system. In particular, I came to the realisation that maximizing class size with upwards of 25 students to 1 teacher was not in the best interests of education but rather it was in the interest of capitalism.

From 2016 to 2020, I managed Witty Learning Institute, which I also founded. Witty Learning Institute was a Dubai-based learning establishment created primarily for the benefit of homeschoolers but also provided exceptional and unique educational support services to a variety of other learners including school-going students, adults and more.

In March of 2020, due to the sudden and tragic emergence of Covid-19, the institute’s premises was forced to temporarily but indefinitely close due to government regulations. As a result, the homeschool programs were forced to move to online classes.

It was through the success of these online classes that the vision for an online school was born. In the summer of 2020, we launched My Education Online, an innovative and exciting UK curriculum online school catering for students from Year 2 up to Year 13 with a strong moral ethos and a fun learning environment where children feel safe and cared for.
